I'm sitting here in Kirkland with my cat on my feet and my laptop in my lap - an auspicious way to begin a "blog".
as of today, i have less then two weeks before i take off for japan! dear god!
ah yes! before i get into my deep seated anxiety and other associated fears and/or nightmare scenarios, I guess i should explain what the pejorative of this blog will pertain too... which will be ... going to japan!
*note - i have already used a dash, two exclamation marks, and the word pejorative which i only vagely know the meaning of in my first blog post. i think this is going swimmingly.
anyways.... i have lots of plans for this little blog, not the least of which is to tell all of you about the crazy crazy things i see on a daily basis.
oh oh and the most important part! the beta version of the freaked-out-o-meter is below. i think the first beta testing to do is to figure out if freeked is spelled with two es of ae...
